We have found a source for recycled car tires that can be used to make outsoles. Each tire provides enough rubber for 6 pairs of size 9 men’s outsoles. These tires would otherwise end up in the landfill or would be burned. Our custom designed Reef outsoles also contain up to 30% recycled rubber. This is achieved by combining powder from ground up recycled tires with recycled content rubber from pre-consumer waste.
